Melissa Hanna is the Senior Director of Annual and Special Giving at the ISU Foundation where she manages the annual giving operation as well as Iowa State’s Women and Philanthropy program.  Previously, Melissa spent nine years with the Florida State University Foundation’s Office of Annual Giving.  During that time, she also worked with the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, a division of FSU.  Annual Giving has been the emphasis of her professional experience, but Melissa has also worked in areas that include campaign planning and development, major gift fundraising, events, membership operations and communication. 

Melissa has participated as a faculty member at several CASE annual giving conferences.  Additionally, she co-founded the Southeast Student Development Forum, a leadership workshop for student fundraising staff.

Melissa graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in history and will complete a master's degree at Florida State University in public administration with an emphasis in nonprofit organizations in May.
