Alana Hughes is the Director of Administration for the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation (CLSFF) and is responsible for the overall coordination of the CLSFF grantmaking processes and the administrative policies for the foundation and its related philanthropic entities, The Center for Leadership Initiatives, Inc., and the Schusterman Foundation – Israel. Alana is also responsible for crafting the message of the Foundation, ensuring that its mission and vision are appropriately communicated to grantseekers and grantmakers alike.

Ms. Hughes joined the CLSFF in 1998 with a background of 14 years in higher education where her positions included special programs administration and marketing at private and public universities. She attended the University of Tulsa and has served as a board member of the Tulsa Women’s Foundation, the Tulsa Historical Society, Youth Services of Tulsa, the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, and two local soccer organizations. She is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 29 and past president of Grantmakers of Oklahoma, a statewide consortium of private and corporate philanthropic organizations.

Her current board activities include the Oklahoma Conference for Community and Justice (OCCJ) and the Leadership Team of the Oklahoma After-School Network (OCAN). She is a member of the Education Task Force of the Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and in January began a three-year term as a member of the board of the Tulsa Community College Foundation.
